Here is part two of our coverage from Ethan Caldwell. Hope you enjoy this second set! As usual, click on each photo for a higher res image.
A Dastun 510 wagon sandwhiched by a couple of Z’s. As mentioned before, Watanabe’s seemed to be the dominate wheel at this meet. The ever popular vintage TE37V’s on the S30. Notice how the fender mirrors are slightly “misaligned.” This is actually not a mistake and functional. If you do ever see mirrors aligned perfectly, they were done wrong.
Carbureted motors were of course the standard at Bayline. I believe this triple carb setup was on an s30. We should have asked Ethan to take notes!
Interior of a Kenmeri. I like the GTR spec horn on the steering wheel.
Even the Brits decided to show up at this meet.
Really smooth looking Datsun 2000 Roadster. Not 100% sure from this angle, but looks like Panasport wheels.
JDM Legends GC10 Skyline. Really nice to see the original honeycomb grill preserved.
More cars rolling in. Looks like this is some sort of Datsun contingency/cult/crew.
Yet another super clean 510. Major credit goes to the owner for keeping this Datsun in tip-top shape.
You don’t really see these too often. This is the Mazda Rotary pickup, aka REPU.
Rear detail shot of the Kenmeri.
Rear of Eric’s C10.
Army green 510 on Work Equip’s 03’s.
A closer look at the front end/wheels.
Looks like a tsurikawa aka subway hand grip on the back here. This is a typical bosozoku style which was traditionaly placed on the rears of SLAMMED cars. This s30 has a some ways to go to really capture the true spirit of this look. But nonetheless, super clean car!
Part III coming up Tuesday!
Cool post, looks like a great gathering of classic JDM metal! o_O
Any more info on that army green 510?
